This stick figure animation, my first by the way, is an adaptation from a flip book assignment for the animation class at the university of Windsor. Although the actual duration of the clip is 9 seconds excluding the title and credits, it took a considerable amount of time to complete, around 18 hours. For those who are asking how it's done, two methods were used in making this clip. First, the background was done in PS then imported to my animation program. Second, I chose to work with ToonBoom and not CTP because I had prior knowledge of how to use it. After importing the background, it's just a matter of drawing a simple or complicated character (s) frame by frame to emulate movement and action. Once that is done, the whole clip is exported in a Hi Rez codec and later imported into another software like FCP or Premeire to add sound effects and titles. In making this short clip I utilized a simple idea and action because of my time constraints. One can only wonder how much hard work and time is put into any animation feature major or not. Hail to those animators and the whole crew involved in such productions.
